Abhinav. Thanks for such lovely documentary, interesting i was traveling in Greece ATHENS AND 🇬🇷Naphlio I met so many beautiful Roma i had dinner with them while i was there im an Indian from the US. Some of them looks like myself , they speak Greek only so lovely people .. full of hidden history ..i feel they need to be embraced and given an entire country to feel their ancestors and ancient history again …in India peace and love ❤️ cheers

Nice documentary. I admire Roman / Gipsy people, specially because of their musical sensibility and creativity. In fact I play guitar and my Idol is Django Reinhardt, a Belgian/French guitar player that was a celebrity in 1920-40s, in european jazz (DjangoStyle/Gipsy Jazz). I lv also flamenco, very much.

I have known Roma all my life and I’ve had them as friends and neighbors That said, there’s a new batch from Bulgaria that are out in groups, robbing stores and supermarkets, and it’s really hard to deal with. This is not a stereotype. This is a reality that I have to deal with. I understand that in 2024 we can never honestly express ourselves if it implies confronting a stereotype after encountering it in practice. There is a lot to be said about people becoming conditioned into believing that they have an identity. It’s as if society molds them into being a stereotype, or maybe they mold themselves. I’m not trying to annoy anyone. This is just an observation. I personally was raised as a member of one culture and later in my life I discovered that I wasn’t from that culture all the baggage that with my initial identity was very hard to get rid of in fact, I can never get rid of it. I adopted it when I was a child and somehow built my personality around it now that I know that was never my culture it seems almost slapstick.

as you said, the ROMANI have a bad reputation in the industrialized European countries. We are a sort of scared of them because they are aggressive and steal your wallet or other valuable personal belongings when traveling on a line bus or at metro or railway stations. They also rob houses, mostly in summer. It is irritating and rather concerning.

Is there any Romani warriors or lineage of them?

I’ve been blessed to live and grow up in the US as a Ruska romani. I hope to travel home one day and meet my people god willing. I was adopted by a Canadian and American missionaries. I couldn’t have asked for better parents ❤

❤ yes they are from india...at the time of gazni attack a lots of jatts, Gujjars and other fighters families villages loted and treated as slave and send to afganistan and to other cites after their living the went to Europe without wealth and land. A brave and real fighters of the india is roma in europe.

Our roma people sometimes may not be able to get a dignified life in EU. When we as indians see them in EU, we should give them respect.

Almost all the human races are found in india. The indian DNA consists of European aryan dna central Asian dna African and Mongolian dna. For thousands of years Indians have been migrating to various parts of the world and people from various other countries are settling here.

Bharat was great a few thousand years back. a lot has been erased. a lot has been lost forever but somehow few pockets of people remain who understand and practice the traditions of our ancestors. we must have clear identity. indians means hindus,jains,sikhs,buddists but not islam and christianity. jews have been here a thousand years but still people of bharat must have this. the christians and muslims are also indian but not in this context.

My homeland Bulgaria is really poor.

My great aunt is Swedish and passed away in the 1990's. She was in her 90's born in 1890. Her parents on both sides were from Sweden her Dad immigrated from Sweden with his brother from the island of Oland. Her mother immigrated from Sweden with her parents and moved to Minnesota than also came out West and she married her husband a Swede, 10 years older. They had 10 children and farmed 800 acres. She wrote a book about a Swedish Pioneer Family, and she would tell us children, that gypsies moved into Sweden in the 1500's or around there, and would steal gold buried by the Vikings and our ancestors. That's why so many Swedes had dark hair. I don't know if any of this is true but she believed it.

Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee offered citizenship to these Romani community. Thus, you are of Indian heritage and you can come and stay in India as citizens.

I don't care where they come from. They are humans. And I don't care where all Indian citizens come from, but as Indian citizens they deserve to be treated equally irrespective of their race, gender, religion, etc.

Next couple of decades are crucial, world will change and Europe is in for shambles. Better India should take “our” people back to India. Romanian will have hard time if not taken back/re merged back to India. 2030 world will change and power shift is happening.
